Are you or anyone you know being recognized for efforts within the pharmacy community?
Buffalo, N.Y. August 19, 2025 – CPESN NY LLC, an independent practice association of pharmacies committed to advancing community-based pharmacy care, is proud to announce the continuation of its partnership with Pharmacists Mutual (phmic.com), a nationally recognized leader in specialty insurance for independent community pharmacies. Through this collaboration, pharmacies gain access to specialized insurance and risk management solutions, enabling them to expand services, including participation in the Standing Order Program.
Each fall, CPESN NY member pharmacies have the opportunity to enroll in the Standing Order Program by completing a one-hour CE, presented by Joy Snyder, PharmD, MPH, BCACP, Clinical Research Pharmacist at Wilmot Cancer Institute, and a two-hour implementation webinar. These trainings equip pharmacies to build and operate a compliant, profitable program while strengthening their role as trusted healthcare providers in their communities. The standing order, issued directly to the pharmacy and covering all enrolled immunizers, authorizes the administration of 17 vaccines, including RSV, influenza, pneumococcal, acute herpes zoster, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, human papillomavirus, measles, mpox, mumps, rubella, varicella, COVID-19, and more. Last year, 77 pharmacies participated, and enrollment is expected to increase again this year.
“Pharmacists Mutual has been a great partner to Condo Pharmacy for more than a decade now. From helping the pharmacy navigate property issues with water damage (two weeks after going live), and automotive issues after our delivery vehicle was hit, to providing advice on clinical and pharmacy services as our pharmacists navigate New York’s expanding scope of practice. Knowing that I don’t have to think of every possible vulnerability and having PHMIC come to me with their experience and expertise about what needs to be insured and how best to do so in the pharmacy space is a big weight off my back. Chris Lang and his colleagues are an invaluable resource and an essential part of the Condo Pharmacy team,” said Steve Moore, owner of Condo Pharmacy in Plattsburgh, NY.
As CPESN NY strengthens its network of pharmacies offering enhanced clinical programs, Pharmacists Mutual provides the dependable coverage and support that allow pharmacies to focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care and services to their communities.
